Inter-Cultural Ministry
Intercultural Ministry
A joint ministry of St Cuthbert’s Burnley and St Luke’s Brierfield.
We are a church family who strive to share the love and light of Christ to all despite any ethnic, linguistic, or cultural differences. Because Jesus and his Kingdom is for all, and he commissioned his Church to go and make disciples of all nations. Therefore, we seek to grow God’s Kingdom in this culturally diverse world around us. This is our vision which catalyses us to embrace and celebrate ethnic and cultural diversity in our parishes and beyond to make and grow disciples of Jesus.
International Worship: April 2023
In April 2023 we held an International Worship event which was attended by friends and families from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The famous gospel singer Majeed Masih from Pakistan came to sing gospel songs along with various other singers. Philip North, the Bishop of Blackburn, attended the worship and preached the gospel. Bishop Philip said that the gospel is cross-cultural, and the Kingdom of God is for everyone. He appreciated this effort and assured his support for Inter-cultural Ministry.
